Canotorii Oleg Tarnovschi şi Oleg Nuţa s-au calificat la Olimpiada de la Rio de Janeiro

În cadrul Turneului  european de calificare olimpică, desfășurat în perioada 18-19 mai la Duisburg, Germania, reprezentanții Moldovei Oleg Nuța și Oleg Tarnovschi au finișat pe locul III în finala probei de canoe dublu, 1000 metri. Comform regulamentului, doar primele două echipaje, cele din România și Cehia, obțineau licența olimpică. Verificarea probelor ulterioare a constatat folosirea substanțelor interzise de către învingătorii probei.

 

După o perioadă de verificări suplimentare, Federația Internațională ICF a anunțat că sportivii moldoveni Oleg Nuța și Oleg Tranovschi au avansat pe poziția a doua a Turneului European  de Calificare Olimpică și au devenit posesori ai licenței olimpice.

 

Vă aminim, că în sezonul precedent la Campionatul Mondial Serghei Tranovschi a cucerit medalia de bronz și calificrea olimpică la canoe simplu, 1000 metri. După cum a precizat președintele federației Iacob Buhnă, Serghei Tranovschi are dreptul să participe și pe distanța olimpică de 200 metri, canoe simplu, astfel sportivii moldoveni urmând să concureze la toate probele olimpice de canoe.
